Transfer
This section describes the process of transferring carbon credits on the ZeroSix platform.
A platform user who owns carbon credits on the ZeroSix platform can transfer an amount of carbon credits to different accounts either the ZeroSix platform (custodial wallets) or non-custodial wallets.
All accounts should correspond to valid addresses on the Energy Web Chain.
To initiate the process of carbon credits transfer, a user selects the option Carbon Offset from the navigation menu. The user is presented with the list of carbon credits associated with her/his account.
The user can select the type of carbon credit she/he wants to transfer and view the information associated with the selected type of carbon credit. To transfer the carbon credits, the user specifies the amount of carbon credits to be transferred and clicks the Transfer button.
The user is transferred to the Bulk Transfer page shown below.
To transfer the carbon credits the user needs to specify either
the email address of a user already register with the platform or
the wallet address of the user where the carbon credits should be transferred to.
Once the information has been provided the user initiates the transfer by clicking the Confirm button.
To execute the transfer of the carbon credits the user is prompter to confirm the transaction by clicking Confirm Transfer in the pop-up dialog box that appears and further confirm the transaction by means of two-factor authentication (2FA).
Once the 2FA has been successfully passed, the transaction of the transfer of carbon credits will be processed by the Energy Web Chain. Once processed, the carbon credits specified by the user will have been transferred to the recipient and subsequently subtracted from the user's portfolio. The user can also view the history of her/his transaction by clicking the History option from the menu.
